Air Force 1st Fighter Wing Conducts Combat Readiness Training to Enhance Combat Capability
The Air Force 1st Fighter Wing (hereinafter 1st FW) announced on the 1st that it conducted a Combat Readiness Exercise (ORE: Operational Readiness Exercise) to check wartime mission procedures and enhance combat capabilities.
The Combat Readiness Exercise is a training conducted to assess the wing's combat performance capabilities by simulating wartime situations, focusing on rapid wartime transition and initial response capability mastery, verification of logistics support systems to ensure wartime operational execution, and improvement of individual wartime mission performance abilities.
After convening the crisis response team to improve rapid response capabilities in the early stages of conflict, comprehensive anti-terrorism training and air defense training were conducted in preparation for enemy infiltration and air raids.
Additionally, all personnel of the wing mastered individual wartime mission procedures through disaster control training to prepare for various disasters and contamination situations, including chemical and biological weapons.
Subsequently, a nighttime base defense training was conducted to respond to simultaneous enemy infiltration threats from both air and ground, checking comprehensive base defense operational capabilities.
Engineering and logistics personnel carried out precise decontamination station setup, aircraft accident handling, emergency water supply, and emergency food supply training. Through this, they minimized potential combat power losses during wartime and strengthened the capability to restore base facilities in the shortest possible time.
