Wando and Jindo Cultural and Arts Community Declare Support for Park Ji-won

Park Ji-won: "I Will Repay with Regional Development Where Culture and Tourism Harmonize"
Two hundred fifty-three cultural and artistic figures from Wando and Jindo announced on the 30th of last month at the Wando Culture and Arts Center that they actively support former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won as the National Assembly member candidate for Haenam, Wando, and Jindo in the upcoming general election.
On that day, the cultural and artistic figures from Wando and Jindo stated, “Preliminary candidate Park Ji-won is a prominent figure from the region who served as Minister of Culture and Tourism and Chief of the Presidential Secretariat during the Kim Dae-jung administration, and also served as the Director of the National Intelligence Service under the Moon Jae-in government.” They added, “During his tenure as minister and National Assembly member, he engaged with the cultural and artistic community, securing budgets and successfully attracting the National Namdo Gugak Center to Jindo. Candidate Park Ji-won is a person who will dedicate all his experience, expertise, and connections to advancing regional culture and arts.”

In particular, Oh Seong-gun, president of the Wando Fusion Gugak Association, who read the declaration, emphasized, “Former Director Park is the only candidate who, through more than ten weekly broadcasts and interviews in central politics during the week, fights against the Yoon Seok-yeol government while actively promoting local specialties such as Wando abalone, Jindo seaweed and green onions, and attractions like the Wando Marine Healing Center, thereby restoring regional pride and asserting his presence in central politics.”
Park Ji-won’s campaign team expressed gratitude for the continued support from the local cultural and artistic community, stating, “Through regional development that harmonizes culture and tourism, we will improve the treatment of cultural and artistic professionals and secure national cultural and artistic budgets to establish a regional cultural and artistic ecosystem befitting the 21st century.”
About 60 people attended the support declaration, including Choi Won-hwan, president of the Wando Gugak Association; Oh Seong-gun, president of the Wando Fusion Gugak Association; Cha Yong-hyun, president of the Wando Photography Association; Ham Jae-kwon, president of the Jindo Federation of Artistic Associations; Park Ju-saeng and Kang Jeong-hak, vice presidents of the Jindo Federation of Artistic Associations; Ha Young-saeng, president of the Jindo Art Association; gugak musician Kim Oh-hyun; and Jang Pil-sik. A total of 253 people, including Lee Ju-young, president of the Wando Art Association, and Cha Soon-won, president of the Cheonghaejin Yeoldubun Research Association, signed the declaration.
