Suwon City to Identify and Manage At-Risk Households Using AI
From February 1, Suwon City will also implement a crisis household management system using AI.
View original imageThe city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province is using artificial intelligence (AI) to identify and manage households in crisis.
Last year, Suwon was selected for the "2023 Digital Town Creation Project" organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety with its initiative to create a "Citizen-Centered Digital Customized Welfare Platform." Starting from the 1st of this month, the city announced the launch of a service that uses AI to identify and manage households in crisis. The service consists of "AI call counseling" and "AI speaker provision and monitoring."
AI call counseling involves periodically making automated phone calls to about 2,000 households extracted through the crisis information system. Calls are made appropriately according to the target and situation, and counseling is conducted with the subjects following a counseling scenario.
By analyzing the AI calls, the system verifies whether a household is in crisis, and if so, the local administrative welfare center takes appropriate measures for the individual.
The AI speakers are first provided to 100 households independently identified by Suwon City, and after monitoring the AI calls, an additional 50 households will be selected to receive the speakers in July. The AI speakers offer care services such as weather alerts, schedule reminders (including medication), music healing, greetings, and emotional conversations.
