Gwangju Bank Launches 'Mo(毛)naegi Savings'
Gwangju Bank announced on the 31st that it has launched a unique savings product called the "Mo(毛)naegi Savings," which offers preferential interest rates based on the number of rice transplanting sessions.
The basic interest rate for the Mo-naegi Savings is 3.5% per annum for a 1-year fixed installment savings account (3.2% per annum for flexible installment savings).
After signing up, customers can check the "Mo-naegi Status Board" accessible through smart banking account inquiry, where they can receive an additional preferential interest rate of up to 0.5%p depending on the number of rice transplanting sessions, for a maximum interest rate of 4.0% per annum.
Enrollment can be easily completed through Gwangju W Bank (APP) and mobile web banking (WEB) without visiting a branch.

Individual customers can open one account each, with a minimum deposit of 100,000 KRW and a maximum of 1,000,000 KRW for a 1-year term.
