Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) is recruiting companies to move into the Startup Support Center (77 Cheongpa-ro, Wonhyo Electronics Market Buildings 6 and 7, 3rd floor) and the Youth Startup Support Center (17 Seobinggo-ro, Public Facility Building, 4th floor) from January 24 to February 6.
The purpose is to support workspace for prospective entrepreneurs and early-stage startups and to nurture them into sound small and medium-sized enterprises to revitalize the local economy.
The companies being recruited this time include three companies to move into independent rooms (exclusive area 13.5㎡) at the Startup Support Center and nine companies to use one seat each in the open space at the Youth Startup Support Center. Selected companies can use the workspace for one year, with the possibility of extending their stay up to two years through an extension evaluation.
Companies moving into the Youth Startup Support Center will also receive support such as the Sookmyung Women’s University Campustown Startup Incubation Program during their stay, including ▲mentoring ▲networking among entrepreneurs ▲investment IR, and more.
As of the application date (January 24, 2024), prospective entrepreneurs or companies that have been established for less than three years are eligible to apply. Companies applying to the Youth Startup Support Center must have a representative aged between 19 and 39.
The Startup Support Center will be available for move-in between March and April, and the Youth Startup Support Center in March. After a first round of document screening and a second round of presentation evaluation, the final companies will be selected in early March.
The first document screening focuses on ▲entrepreneurial will and capability ▲business feasibility ▲technical feasibility. The second business plan presentation evaluation considers the first screening criteria plus marketability and the necessity of space support.
The rent for the Startup Support Center is about 2.3 million KRW per year (with a deposit of 600,000 KRW), and the open space at the Youth Startup Support Center can be used for 30,000 KRW per month.
Companies wishing to apply should fill out the application forms posted on the Yongsan-gu Office website under Notices/Announcements and submit them via email to the person in charge.
