Namwon City to Recruit Residents for 'Namwon Janghak Suk' from Next Month 1st to 7th
Namwon City in Jeonbuk announced on the 26th that it will recruit 38 new residents for the Seoul Namwon Scholarship Dormitory from the 1st to the 7th of next month.
The city plans to select residents through the announcement of successful candidates on the 16th of next month.

Eligibility requirements include being an incoming or current student at a university or graduate school under the Higher Education Act located in the metropolitan area (Seoul Special City, Incheon Metropolitan City, Gyeonggi Province) with at least a two-year program, and having been continuously registered as a resident in Namwon for at least one year prior to the recruitment announcement date by at least one of the parent(s) or the student.
New residents will be selected based on academic performance and lifestyle.
The first priority is graduates (or expected graduates) of local high schools, the second priority is graduates (or expected graduates) of high schools outside the area who graduated from local elementary or middle schools, and the third priority is graduates of local elementary or middle schools.
Choi Kyung-sik, Chairman of the Chunhyang Scholarship Foundation, said, “Namwon Scholarship Dormitory will spare no support and attention to fulfill its role as a cradle for nurturing future talents who can relieve the economic burden of parents and help students achieve their dreams.”
Opened in 2014, the Namwon Scholarship Dormitory is a building with one basement floor and five above-ground floors, equipped with 34 dormitory rooms, a cafeteria, a library, a fitness room, and laundry facilities.
