Daedong Hospital Signs Business Agreement with 'Busan-si Women's Bicycle Association'
Daedong Hospital (Director Lee Kwang-jae) has signed a business agreement with the Busan Women's Bicycle Association (President Kang Da-won) to promote members' health and mutual development.

View original imageThe Busan Women's Bicycle Association, founded in 2001, currently has over 8,400 active members. Since launching the "Beginner Free Bicycle Class 1st Term" in August 2001, it has been providing free bicycle education to an average of 40 to 50 women in Busan every month.
In addition to bicycle education, the association has contributed to the development of Busan's bicycle culture and community health promotion through traffic campaigns, volunteer and ambassador activities, and participation in domestic and international bicycle competitions and events.
At the 23rd anniversary ceremony held at the Asiad Buffet at 12 PM on the 17th, the signing ceremony was attended by about 100 members including President Kang Da-won, Vice Presidents Choi Jeong-sook, Jang Kyung-ah, Shim Ki-sook, Kim Kyung-ja, Lee Ok-i, and Planning and Finance Director Jeong Da-gyeom, as well as Daedong Hospital’s Deputy Director Lee Jin-hyung and Administrative Team Leader Jang Han-min.
Based on trust and cooperation, the two organizations signed a business agreement to provide high-quality medical services for the health promotion of Busan Women's Bicycle Association members, and to lead mutual development in various fields such as internal and external social contribution activities and business support.
President Kang Da-won of the Busan Women's Bicycle Association expressed, “Although medicine and bicycling may seem like completely different means, since we pursue the same value of promoting community health, we will actively cooperate to create a positive synergistic effect.”

Since 2019, Daedong Hospital has been designated by Busan City as a regional emergency medical center, providing specialized medical services to severe emergency patients. Recently, it ranked first in the 2023 Ministry of Health and Welfare emergency medical institution evaluation in the Busan area. Starting in February, with the expansion of the Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Center and the opening of the Intervention Center, the hospital plans to establish a 24-hour specialized medical system for severe conditions directly related to life, such as cerebrovascular diseases including cerebral hemorrhage and cerebral aneurysm, as well as heart diseases such as myocardial infarction and angina pectoris.
