On the 24th, LG Electronics announced that it will donate a total of 2,000 kg of kimchi to 10 villages that have established one-company-one-village sisterhood ties by the Lunar New Year. The one-company-one-village sisterhood is a social contribution activity that has been supported through related agreements since 2020 to promote the development and mutual cooperation of rural fishing villages.
The company also supports the sisterhood villages by ▲donating home appliances to communal facilities such as village halls ▲purchasing local specialty products from the villages and donating them to social welfare facilities ▲providing free repair services for home appliances in case of natural disasters.
Additionally, on the 23rd, LG Electronics donated 30 million KRW to the Korea Disabled Rehabilitation Association. This donation was raised through a participatory donation event recently conducted by LG Electronics. The Korea Disabled Rehabilitation Association plans to purchase rice and food sets with the donation and deliver them to 228 households of disabled youth in 17 cities and provinces nationwide.
