Faceless Angel Donates 1.68 Billion Won to Imsil-gun Over 4 Years

Once again this year, the ‘Faceless Samgye Angel’ donated a large sum exceeding 400 million KRW, contributing a total of 1.68 billion KRW over four years to help the underprivileged neighbors in Imsil-gun.

The county announced on the 22nd that Mr. A, the so-called ‘Faceless Samgye Angel’ who has not revealed his identity and whose father’s hometown is Samgye, donated 428 million KRW through the Community Chest of Korea on the 10th.

Since 2021, Mr. A has donated to help the underprivileged neighbors in Imsil-gun, with the total cumulative donation amount reaching 1.68 billion KRW over four years.

Mr. A conveyed a brief but warm message to Imsil-gun, saying, “I hope this will help those raising children in difficult situations,” and “I wish my hometown Imsil to become a warm community where neighbors help each other.”

Accordingly, the county plans to support 1,206 low-income households with the donation starting from the 31st.

If a household has one child, 300,000 KRW will be deposited; for two children, 400,000 KRW; and for three or more children, 500,000 KRW will be deposited into the recipients’ accounts on the same day for five months. Additionally, a lump sum of 200,000 KRW will be provided to low-income households without children.

Mr. A’s donation conditions are the same as last year’s: first, to guarantee anonymity; second, to deposit the funds on a fixed day over five months to help the recipients’ lives; and third, to receive the support results after five months, with no other conditions attached.

Upon hearing the news of the philanthropist who has donated more than 1.2 billion KRW over four years, local residents said, “We didn’t expect it, but once again this year, he came and donated a large amount exceeding 400 million KRW. We are truly grateful and admire him,” and “In these times when ordinary people struggle with high prices and heating costs in winter, this will be a great gift for the underprivileged neighbors raising children ahead of the Lunar New Year.”

The county plans to fully ensure that no eligible recipient is left out, honoring the precious intentions of donor Mr. A.

A separate notification letter will be sent to ensure the warm heart of the Samgye Angel is well conveyed.

County Governor Shim Min said, “I deeply thank the donor who, over four years, has consistently thought of neighbors struggling in the cold without revealing himself and donated a large amount despite the difficult economic situation,” and added, “The donated funds filled with warm kindness will be delivered carefully according to the donor’s wishes.”
