HD Hyundai Marine Solutions Enhances Ship Cybersecurity... Signs MOU with AhnLab and German Company
Response to External Cyber Attacks

HD Hyundai Marine & Offshore, a comprehensive solution subsidiary of HD Hyundai Marine Solutions (formerly HD Hyundai Global Services), is advancing its ship cybersecurity solutions.
HD Hyundai Marine Solutions announced on the 22nd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 'Development Cooperation for Ship Cybersecurity Solutions and Services' with integrated security company AhnLab and German network monitoring solution company Paessler AG.
Earlier, the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) mandated that all shipbuilding contracts signed after July this year must ensure cyber resilience for safe ship operation. HD Hyundai Marine Solutions explained, "As various systems on ships are integrated and digitized recently, the threat of external cyberattacks is gradually increasing," adding, "The importance of ship cybersecurity solutions is also increasingly emphasized for autonomous ship operation and remote navigation."
Last year, HD Hyundai Marine Solutions launched the ship cybersecurity solution brand ‘Hi-Secure,’ which meets the IACS cyber resilience regulation (UR E26), and applied it to one LNG FSRU (Floating Storage Regasification Unit) under construction.

An official from HD Hyundai Marine Solutions said, “We plan to expand our presence in the ship cybersecurity market by collaborating with Korea’s top-tier security company AhnLab and Germany’s Paessler.”
