'Ulsan Issues First "Integrity Alert" of the Year'
January 22 to February 15 Anti-Corruption and Public Service Discipline Establishment
Special Inspection on Public Officials' Political Neutrality Obligation Violations Also Conducted
The city of Ulsan has issued its first 'Integrity Alert' of the year.
In celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday, Ulsan City announced that it will issue an Integrity Alert from January 22 to February 15 to prevent corruption and establish public service discipline.
The Integrity Alert is part of the 'Anti-Corruption Integrity Policy' and is issued periodically during corruption-prone periods such as personnel changes, vacation seasons, and holidays when public officials are more vulnerable to lapses in discipline or bribery.
This Integrity Alert has been prepared to raise awareness within the public service, which may become lax during the Lunar New Year holiday, and to encourage employees to participate in creating a clean and honest Ulsan.
The main points include ▲ prohibition of accepting money or gifts from persons related to official duties ▲ proactive participation in the 'No Giving or Receiving Gifts' campaign during the Lunar New Year holiday ▲ prohibition of violations of the public officials' code of conduct.
With the 22nd National Assembly election approaching this year, special inspections will also be conducted to address concerns about violations of political neutrality obligations by public officials.
