View original imageOn the 18th, the Korea Communications Commission warned that fraudulent sales damages could occur due to false and exaggerated advertisements ahead of the launch of Samsung Electronics' 'Galaxy S24' series.
So-called 'Seongji points' are secretly operating sales channels such as online cafes, blogs, and bands, claiming that the latest smartphones can be purchased at low prices.
In reality, they mislead users by explaining the conditions for using selective discount plans or credit card partnership discounts as if the devices are being sold cheaply at retail stores.
There are also cases where they induce subscriptions to high-priced plans or additional services by promising free phones, smartwatches, or tablets.
The Korea Communications Commission stated, "To prevent damages caused by deceptive sales, it is necessary to carefully check discount conditions and remaining installment payments when an unreasonably low purchase price is offered."
