2024 Kindergarten Education Plan Support Workshop
Support for Child and Play-Centered Curriculum Organization and Operation
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yun-su) is implementing a plan to enhance on-site understanding of early childhood education policies.
Busan Office of Education announced that on the 18th at 3 p.m., it will hold the '2024 Kindergarten Education Plan Support Workshop' for about 600 kindergarten teachers in the district using Zoom.
This workshop was organized to share this year’s vision and key projects of Busan’s early childhood education policy and to support the organization and operation of child- and play-centered curricula based on autonomy and accountability.
On the day, major changes in early childhood education policies this year will be introduced, including the expansion of pilot kindergartens for the ‘Connected Semester’ linking early childhood and elementary education to reduce private education, the activation of ‘reading education’ to nurture body and mind, the expansion of ‘kindergarten care classrooms,’ and additional support for tuition and childcare fees for 5-year-old children.
Additionally, guidance will be provided on the direction for establishing kindergarten education plans, the operation plan of the Busan Early Childhood Education Promotion Institute, on-site support for the intelligent NAIS kindergarten system, and how to use the ‘Damoa App.’
Before the workshop, the Busan Office of Education distributed the ‘2024 Busan Early Childhood Education’ booklet to all kindergartens and uploaded the file on the city education office’s website.
