Labor Attorney Exam, Validity Period of Official English Test Scores Extended from 2 to 5 Years

View original imageThe validity period for official language test scores such as TOEIC, submitted by candidates taking the Certified Labor Consultant exam, will be extended to 5 years starting this year.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced on the 9th that the amendment to the "Enforcement Decree of the Certified Labor Consultant Act," which expands the recognition period of official English test scores substituting the English subject in the Certified Labor Consultant exam from 2 years to 5 years starting this year, was passed at the Cabinet meeting.
Candidates who wish to extend the recognition period of their official English test scores must register their scores, which expire from January 1 of this year, with the Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation, the entrusted examination agency, before the expiration date.
This measure was prepared as part of the improvement plan for the recognition period system of official language test scores in national qualification exams, which is one of the national policy tasks.
National professional qualification exams that can recognize language test scores for up to 5 years under this recommendation include Tax Accountant, Administrative Officer, Certified Public Accountant, Loss Adjuster, Actuary, Patent Attorney, Appraiser, Tourist Interpreter Guide, Hotel Manager, Hotel Administrator, Hotel Service Specialist, Assistant Curator of Museums and Art Galleries, and Management Consultant.
