Yongsan-gu Supports Tuition Fees for 'Gangnam Ingong' Online CSAT Broadcast
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Hee-young) is supporting internet CSAT broadcasting course fees to close the learning gap among local students and reduce the burden of private education expenses.
This year, 300 middle and high school students residing in Yongsan-gu or attending schools located in the district will be supported.
Previously, the district signed a joint usage agreement with Gangnam-gu to freely access ‘Gangnam Ingong,’ which offers over 20,000 lectures, for an annual fee of 45,000 KRW. Of the annual tuition, 35,000 KRW is subsidized by the district, so students only pay 10,000 KRW and can take unlimited courses for all middle and high school subjects for one year. Support is provided once per household, but siblings can share the same ID.
Additionally, socially disadvantaged groups such as ▲basic livelihood security recipients ▲lower-income families ▲persons with disabilities ▲single-parent families ▲national merit recipients can take courses free of charge, and families with multiple children receive full tuition waivers or additional support depending on the number of children.
Applications are accepted from the 9th to the 19th of this month on a first-come, first-served basis via the Yongsan University Admission Specialized Portal ‘Yongsan JinHak Pass’ website. After verifying eligibility, course coupons will be sent individually via text message starting next month.
