Suwon City Opens 'Ssook' Portal Site for Single-Person Households on the 8th
The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province launched a customized online portal for single-person households called ‘SsOcC’ on the 8th, where information related to increasing single-person household projects can be viewed at a glance.
SsOcC provides information on all projects related to single-person households promoted by various departments of Suwon City and related organizations. It also features a ‘Communication Space’ board where single-person households can freely share their stories, and an ‘Organization Guide’ board that introduces related institutions for single-person households.
The portal can be accessed by searching for ‘SsOcC (Suwon City Single-Person Household Portal)’ on portal sites such as Naver and Daum, or on the Suwon City website search bar. SsOcC is a term derived from the first letters of ‘Suwon Safe (안심) One Convenience (편의) Connect (연결).’
Since establishing the ‘Single-Person Household Support Team’ in March last year, Suwon City has been creating support projects and policies for single-person households by holding meetings with related organizations, conducting policy surveys, and hosting forums for single-person households. In November, the city also held a policy showcase inviting single-person households.
Suwon City has set the vision of ‘Alone in Suwon, Together in Suwon’ and is promoting support projects for single-person households by establishing a comprehensive control tower for single-person household support.
Focusing on three main tasks?‘Connection,’ ‘Safety,’ and ‘Convenience’?the city is implementing projects such as ▲ launching an online customized platform ▲ forming and operating the SsOcC Family ▲ operating visiting single-person household stations ▲ expanding single-person household village networks ▲ providing living safety nets ▲ expanding housing safety ▲ expanding care systems ▲ and offering lifestyle programs for single-person households.
A Suwon City official stated, "The customized online portal SsOcC will provide information necessary for single-person households to live conveniently," adding, "We will strive to create an environment where single-person households can live well."
