Baek Seong-wan, CEO of Hana Insurance, "Portfolio Restructuring... Formal Organizational Culture Must Also Be Abandoned"
Hana Insurance announced on the 3rd that it held an inauguration ceremony for its new CEO, Bae Seong-wan, on the morning of the 2nd at its headquarters located in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
CEO Bae is an insurance industry expert who joined Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, served as Head of the Long-term Insurance Planning Team (Senior Executive Vice President) in 2019, and was promoted to Vice President in 2021, serving as Head of the Long-term Insurance Division (Vice President).
In his inaugural speech, CEO Bae presented the direction the company should take with the theme of "New Change, Passionate Practice, Rapid Growth."
CEO Bae emphasized, “It is necessary to make choices and focus to effectively utilize the currently limited resources,” adding, “By reorganizing the portfolio, we should focus boldly and rapidly on the growth of long-term insurance, and maintain a stable profit structure in automobile insurance through loss ratio management.”
He continued, “We need the determination to passionately practice with immersion and enthusiasm for growth and success,” and added, “We will boldly discard the formal organizational culture of the past and implement a culture of communication within the field.”
