Panda Cub 'Twin Pandas' to Greet Visitors Starting April 4
Mom Starts Outing with Aibao
The youngest members of the Everland panda family, the twin baby pandas Ruibao and Huibao, will be available to meet on-site starting from the 4th.
Everland, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Division, announced on the 3rd that the six-month-old twin pandas will begin their outdoor excursions in Panda World with the start of the 2024 Year of the Dragon. Until now, the twin baby pandas had been living privately inside Panda World, so they could only be seen through Everland's social media channels.

Kang Cheol-won, the famous panda caretaker known as the "Panda Grandfather," explained, "At birth, the baby pandas weighed only 180g and 140g respectively, but now both have surpassed 11kg. Recently, they have grown healthy enough to walk well following their mother, so they are starting their outdoor excursions in the enclosure."
For the time being, the twin baby pandas will spend time outdoors only during certain hours each morning with their mother, Aibao. Everland plans to reduce the number of visitors to Panda World during this time to help the twins get accustomed to people and adapt. They also announced plans to increase the public viewing hours and visitor capacity in the future, depending on the twins' adaptation and condition.
Due to the solitary nature of pandas, the already independent twin panda sister Pubao cannot be seen in the same space. Everland plans to adjust the space and schedule so visitors can meet the panda family. During certain periods, visitors will be able to see the mother Aibao, the twin pandas, Pubao, and the father Lubao all together.
Jung Dong-hee, the director of Everland Zoo, said, "Caretakers and veterinarians will provide even more meticulous care to ensure that Ruibao, Huibao, Pubao, Aibao, Lubao, and the entire panda family adapt well to their new environment and live healthily."
