Among the top 10 conglomerates welcoming the new year of Gapjin, the keyword 'growth' was found to be the most frequently used in their New Year's messages. This reflects the expectation that the economy will recover in the new year, leaving behind the difficult economic situation of the previous year.

It is also notable that the frequency of using 'growth' has increased significantly in New Year's messages over the past three years. In 2022, it ranked 5th (28 times), and last year it was 3rd (39 times). The background for companies emphasizing 'growth' in the new year includes the recovery trend seen at the end of last year in sectors related to electric, electronics, and IT such as semiconductors, batteries, and smartphones, which had been experiencing a prolonged downturn.
Following 'growth,' the words 'global' and 'future' were the second most frequently used in the New Year's messages of large corporations, each used 35 times. Notably, the ranking of 'global' rose dramatically by 7 places from a joint 9th place last year. Amid ongoing challenges in the global economy such as war and friction between the US and China, more companies are calling for 'change' as a breakthrough to overcome these difficulties.
Next were 'customer' (30 times), 'change' (26 times), 'eco-friendly' and 'value' (each 22 times), 'environment' and 'sustainability' (each 20 times), and 'innovation,' 'technology,' 'competition,' and 'capability' (each 19 times). On the other hand, 'crisis,' which ranked 4th last year due to concerns about the global economic slowdown, fell to 19th place (12 times).
