Gwangju Shinsegae "Receive the 'Blue Dragon Energy' at the First Exhibition of the New Year"
Gwangju Shinsegae announced on the 2nd that it will hold the 'New Year Special Exhibition: Like a Dragon Obtaining the Yeouiju' until the 13th of next month.
Through this special exhibition, works featuring dragons expressed in various forms such as paintings, videos, and installation art by multiple artists will be showcased.
In particular, an illustration of a dragon humorously depicted by artist Hwang Jung-hwan was selected as the representative work to decorate the New Year exhibition on the first-floor art wall. It carries the meaning of wishing customers happiness and laughter throughout the year.
Artist Hwang Jung-hwan created a total of three exclusive dragon-themed works in collaboration with Shinsegae Department Store. Among them, 'Twin Dragons in the Clouds' was made in celebration of the Year of the Blue Dragon, inspired by his two sons, depicting twin dragons flying brightly and vigorously above the clouds.
