Lee Sun-kyun's Death Saddens Agency... Condolences Pour In at Funeral Hall
Actor Lee Seon-gyun, who had been under police investigation for drug use, passed away on the 27th, while some media outlets reported parts of a memo message, but the authenticity has not been confirmed.
Lee Seon-gyun was found unconscious near Waryong Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, at around 10:30 a.m. the previous day. Earlier that same day at 10:12 a.m., a 112 emergency call was received by the police reporting that "the husband wrote a memo resembling a suicide note and left the house," and later the police found Lee Seon-gyun in a vehicle. Several hours later, his agency Hodoo&U Entertainment stated, "We are sorry to share this tragic news. Actor Lee Seon-gyun passed away on December 27."
Previously, Lee Seon-gyun had been under multiple police investigations since October for allegedly using drugs several times with Mr. A, a manager at a Gangnam entertainment establishment, and at Mr. A’s residence. The last investigation took place from the 23rd to the early morning of the 24th. Lee Seon-gyun’s funeral was held on the 27th at Seoul National University Funeral Hall, Room 1. On that day, fellow actors and entertainment industry figures who had worked with the deceased in films and dramas visited the funeral hall.
