Korea Student Aid Foundation Selects 1,035 Recipients for 'Pureun Deungdae Donation Scholarship'... Awards 1 Million to 10 Million KRW
The Korea Student Aid Foundation (Chairman Bae Byung-il) is recruiting new scholarship recipients for the 2024 first semester 'Pureun Deungdae Donation Scholarship' until January 18 next year.
The Pureun Deungdae Donation Scholarship is funded by donations from individuals and corporations to support tuition and living expenses for outstanding low-income university students in various fields.
Since the foundation of the Korea Student Aid Foundation in 2009, approximately 22,000 university students have received a total of 37.5 billion KRW in Pureun Deungdae Donation Scholarships.
For the 2024 first semester, 1,035 new scholarship recipients will be selected, and each recipient will receive a living expense scholarship ranging from 1 million KRW to 10 million KRW. The scholarship eligibility and evaluation criteria vary by donation scholarship project. This semester, a total of 17 new donation scholarship projects will select recipients, and the types of projects are as follows.
Construction Workers Mutual Aid Association, Malnam Scholarship, Blizzard Entertainment, Office Finance Ubuntu Foundation, General Insurance Social Contribution Council, Woomi Hope Foundation (Type 1), Woomi Hope Foundation (Type 2), Yu Ji-woong, Jung In-wook Academic Scholarship Foundation, Korea Airports Corporation, Korea Asset Management Corporation, Korea Land and Housing Corporation, Korea Investment Corporation, Home&Shopping (Type 1), Home&Shopping (Type 2), KDB Nanum Foundation, KOSAF Donation Fund (Type 2), etc.
Since only one project can be applied for per semester, it is recommended to compare the evaluation criteria of each project in advance and apply for the project that best suits the applicant. Any student enrolled in a domestic university with South Korean nationality can apply 24 hours a day through the Korea Student Aid Foundation website and mobile app, except on the application deadline.

The results of the scholarship selection will be announced in mid-April 2024 after the start of the first semester and can be checked on the Korea Student Aid Foundation website.
