New Policy Advisor for Seoul Appointed: Former Seoul Institute Director Park Hyung-soo
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 21st that it has appointed former Seoul Institute President Park Hyung-soo as a policy advisor to assist the policy decisions of the 8th elected mayor. The policy advisor is an office directly under the mayor, responsible for advising on major policies, reviewing key pledges, and coordinating with related organizations.
Advisor Park is an economist formerly of the Bank of Korea and an expert in macroeconomics, taxation, and administration, having served as Commissioner of the Korea National Statistical Office and President of the Korea Institute of Public Finance. Until recently, he supported the mayor's policy decisions as President of the Seoul Institute.
