Jindo Offshore Wind Power Industry Council Donates 65 Million KRW to Jindo County

Conveying the Will for Coexistence Between Military and Citizens for Jindo Development

The Jindo Offshore Wind Power Association Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the Association) donated 65 million KRW to the joint fundraising project "Moadream" aimed at discovering and supporting vulnerable households within Jindo County.

According to Jindo County on the 20th, the joint fundraising project "Moadream" is a fundraising activity in which the public and private sectors, including Jindo County, Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, and the Jindo County Community Security Council, participate together to secure resources for local welfare projects that can independently address regional welfare issues.

The Jindo Offshore Wind Power Association donated 65 million KRW to the joint fundraising project "Moadream," aimed at identifying and supporting vulnerable households within Jindo County.

This donation was jointly contributed by seven companies: SM One Holdings Co., Ltd., Bada Energy, Dream Engineering Co., Ltd., Top Solar Co., Ltd., Pacifico Energy Korea Co., Ltd., Northland Power Korea Ltd., and Nuri Co., Ltd.

Lee Yong-geol, CEO of SM ENC and chairman of the Association, said at the donation ceremony, "The member companies of the Association united with the hope that happiness and warmth would be delivered to the difficult residents left in the welfare blind spots," adding, "We will do our best to achieve development of Jindo together in coexistence with the residents of Jindo."

Kim Hee-soo, the county governor, expressed deep gratitude to the Association for their significant support for Jindo County’s welfare, stating, "As the need to expand renewable energy grows in response to the climate crisis and carbon neutrality implementation, we will strive for offshore wind power development in cooperation with the residents."
