Fire at Hyundai Motor Ulsan Engine Plant... No Casualties Reported
Factory Producing Lambda Engines
A fire broke out at Hyundai Motor Company's Ulsan plant around 3 a.m. on the 18th.
At 3:03 a.m., a security guard on patrol discovered the fire inside the Lambda engine factory. Four fire trucks from the plant's fire brigade were dispatched to the scene three minutes later. At 3:29 a.m., ten fire trucks from the Ulsan Northern Fire Station arrived and extinguished the fire around 3:43 a.m. There were no casualties, and the property damage is currently being assessed.
The factory produces Lambda engines used in vehicles such as the Kia Carnival. Fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
