Gochang-gun Agricultural Technology Center Wins 'Best Agricultural Technology Center Award' in Rural Guidance Project Evaluation

Jeonbuk Gochang-gun Agricultural Technology Center (Director Hyun Haeng-yeol) announced on the 8th that it was finally selected as the Best Agricultural Technology Center in the comprehensive evaluation of the Rural Guidance Project hosted by the Rural Development Administration.

Gochang Agricultural Technology Center received the prestigious award at the 2023 Agricultural Science and Technology Performance Sharing Conference held at the Seoul aT Center on the 7th.

The Rural Development Administration selects and awards excellent institutions every year to promote the activation of rural development projects by evaluating and awarding outstanding institutions that have contributed to the development and performance improvement of rural development projects.

Gochang Center achieved excellent results in all areas of the rural guidance project by building digital agricultural technology dissemination such as training for obtaining licenses for small special agricultural machinery and agricultural drone qualifications, supporting agricultural drones by eup/myeon, and establishing smart farm complexes; supporting stable crop production such as rice seedling box treatment agents, emergency joint pest control, and control of fruit fire blight and sudden pests; addressing field difficulties such as forming a technology dissemination support group and expanding certification for low-carbon agricultural and livestock products; winning the best award for agricultural work safety education and agricultural work accident prevention, and revitalizing rural healing and experience linked with social institutions; and systematically fostering farmer learning groups, item-specific research groups, and young farmers.

Director Hyun Haeng-yeol said, “The comprehensive evaluation of the rural guidance project is a difficult evaluation that requires high performance in all fields, but it is the result of all employees of the Agricultural Technology Center working together as one,” and added, “We will continue to actively respond to the comprehensive evaluation of the rural guidance project and do our best to increase farmers’ income.”
