Conspiracy Theory on 'Daejangdong' Yoo Dong-gyu's Traffic Accident: "This Is How They Silence You"
Jeong Yura "Aren't they trying to kill me too?"
Ha Tae-gyeong "The public will think it's a sequel to 'Asura'"
Former Seongnam Urban Development Corporation Director Yoo Dong-gyu was involved in a traffic accident, while Jung Yoo-ra, the daughter of Choi Seo-won (formerly Choi Soon-sil), mentioned Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and raised conspiracy theories.
Earlier on the evening of the 5th, a passenger car driven by former Director Yoo collided with a 5-ton truck on the Bongdam direction road of the Bongdam-Gwacheon Urban Expressway in Bugok-dong, Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi Province. As a result of the accident, former Director Yoo complained of headaches and back pain and was transported to a hospital, with no reported life-threatening injuries.

After being detained in October last year over the Daejang-dong related suspicions, he was released upon expiration of his detention period and subsequently began exposing allegations related to Lee Jae-myung. Recently, it was reported that former Deputy Director Kim Yong of the Democratic Research Institute received a guilty verdict on charges of illegal political fund acceptance, with former Director Yoo’s testimony being decisive.
In this context, on the 6th, Jung posted on her Facebook, "If I expose the recording of Special Advisor Kang, who is a staff member of 'Jjinjaemyeong' (a derogatory term mocking Lee related to the sister-in-law insult controversy), won’t they try to kill me too?" and added, "It’s scary. Jjinjaemyeong is silencing people like this."
Meanwhile, as Lee’s close aides related to the Daejang-dong allegations have died one after another, voices linking these deaths to Lee continue to emerge. On the National Assembly’s Public Administration and Security Committee’s audit in October last year, People Power Party lawmaker Jo Eun-hee mentioned the need for protection of former Director Yoo, saying, "Mr. Yoo said in a media interview that he might be 'forced to commit suicide.'"

People Power Party lawmaker Ha Tae-kyung dismissed conspiracy theories about the deaths of Lee’s close aides but pointed out, "Because there have been many mysterious deaths around Lee, I think the public will look at this with suspicion." On the 6th, on YTN Radio’s 'News King with Park Ji-hoon,' Ha said, "The problem is not the actual truth but that the majority of the public who see the news will think, 'Isn’t this like a sequel to Asura?'" and added, "That’s how public sentiment is."
