MZ Solution Supplies 'AI Fire Solution' to Private Resource Circulation Center for the First Time in Korea
MGN Solution is making a full-scale market entry by supplying AI (artificial intelligence) fire solutions to the first private resource circulation facility in Korea.
MGN Solution announced on the 4th that its subsidiary, Hyundai Infracore, has signed a supply contract for the active automatic fire extinguishing device solution ‘Alpha Shot’ with Daeheung Recycling Co., Ltd.
Alpha Shot is a product that adds a water spraying function to ‘Alpha View,’ the world’s first Internet of Things fire prediction computer.
Alpha View uses artificial intelligence to monitor infrared, ultraviolet, smoke, and other factors in real time to detect early-stage fires. It then identifies the fire location and situation through a camera and sends video footage to the manager.
In addition, Alpha Shot sprays water and extinguishing agents to immediately eliminate the fire source. Recently, this product has been further advanced by applying MGN Solution’s AI video analysis technology.
A company official explained, “There have been continuous news reports about fires at waste treatment plants recently, and due to the nature of resource circulation facilities, heat tends to accumulate in waste piles or fires caused by batteries such as dry cells are frequent. There have been cases where fire cleanup operations continued up to four days after the fire occurred, involving about 200 to 300 personnel.”
He added, “Recently, demand for fire solutions has surged in special logistics centers handling large-scale waste batteries and secondary batteries, as well as in the waste battery recycling industry.”
Previously, MGN Solution and Hyundai Infracore completed a patent application related to the ‘fire possibility judgment system within logistics centers.’ They were also recognized for their technology related to fire-vulnerable facilities, such as being selected for a national project titled ‘Intelligent Fire Suppression Leading Model for Resource Circulation Facilities’ with the Seoul Gangseo-gu Office as a client.
