Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) conducted musculoskeletal disorder prevention training 13 times from October 26 to November 30 for Seongbuk-gu employees, including field workers.
Musculoskeletal disorders are conditions in which repetitive movements, excessive force, and improper working postures cause weakening and pain in musculoskeletal areas such as the neck, shoulders, hands, and lower back due to the nature of the work.
This training was prepared as a management measure based on the results of the "2023 Musculoskeletal Burden Work Hazard Factor Survey" conducted for all employees from April to July, classifying disorder types according to work characteristics. Professor Gong Seong-ah from Samsung Seoul Hospital and an exercise therapist were invited to conduct a program consisting of weight-bearing exercises and muscle relaxation stretching through 1:1 muscle recognition response and posture analysis.
