Employees of Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) put down their work briefly and picked up paintbrushes. They carried out renovation work by painting old houses near Busan Port.
On the 30th, BPA announced that it conducted an exterior painting volunteer activity on aging houses to improve the living environment of elderly people living alone in Munhyeon-dong, Nam-gu.
Employees from Busan Port Security Corporation, Busan Port Facilities Management Center, and Korea South-East Power also participated in the volunteer activity hosted by the Busan Regional Problem-Solving Platform.
The volunteer group visited seven households in Munhyeon-dong and repainted rooftops, stairs, walls, and exterior surfaces in colors requested by the elderly residents.

In September, they visited the rooftop of an old apartment in Jung-gu, Busan, which lacked insulation. Employees personally painted the rooftop with “cool roof” paint to help ease the heat-related difficulties experienced by the elderly residents.
On November 23, in preparation for the cold winter, they directly installed window insulation materials in the homes of 17 elderly people in Dong-gu, Busan. The recent exterior painting volunteer work was the final gift of the “Happy Hae Love Sharing” activities.
A BPA employee who participated in the volunteer work said, “It was meaningful not only to help the elderly live comfortably at home but also to have warm and heartfelt conversations with them.”
