Jeongeup-si Provides Jobs for Vulnerable Groups... Recruitment from Next Month 4 to 8
Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do will invest 2.08 billion KRW in the 2024 Jeongeup-type Win-Win Job Project to provide jobs for 420 vulnerable individuals.
According to the city on the 30th, the Jeongeup-type Win-Win Job Project is a program that discovers customized public jobs suited to local conditions and temporarily provides jobs to vulnerable employment groups to promote livelihood stability.
Next year, the project plans to provide jobs to a total of 420 people, divided into three stages with 140 people per stage.
The city will recruit participants for the first stage of the 2024 project from the 4th to the 8th of next month. The first stage will run from January 8 to April 12, 2024.
If selected, those aged 60 or younger will work 30 hours per week, and those aged 61 or older will work 15 hours per week. The hourly wage is 9,860 KRW, with an additional daily expense allowance of 5,000 KRW. Mandatory enrollment in the four major social insurances applies depending on age.
Applicants must be citizens aged between 18 and 69 as of the project start date (January 8, 2024), and selection will be made based on a comprehensive evaluation of household income, number of dependents, participation frequency, and assets.
Citizens wishing to participate can apply at their local eup/myeon office or dong community center.
Mayor Lee Hak-su stated, “We will do our best to discover local jobs that can contribute to the livelihood stability of vulnerable employment groups facing economic difficulties.”
Meanwhile, this year, the city provided jobs to approximately 390 vulnerable individuals through the Win-Win Job Project.
