BNK Gyeongnam Bank and Korea Post Sign 'Joint Use of Counter Network Agreement'
Deposit to Gyeongnam Bank Account at Post Office Counter
Payment, Inquiry, and Automated Machine Services Available
BNK Gyeongnam Bank customers will be able to use passbook deposit and withdrawal services and ATM services at post office counters nationwide without any fees.
On the 30th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank signed a 'Joint Use of Counter Network Agreement' with the Korea Post and others to enhance customer convenience.
The agreement ceremony held at the Sky Hall of Seoul Central Post Office was attended by Bank President Ye Kyung-tak, Korea Post Director Cho Hae-geun, Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute President Park Jong-seok, Daegu Bank President Hwang Byung-woo, and others.
According to the agreement, after system development, financial services will be available at post office counters starting from the first half of next year. The available financial services include ▲deposit services (passbook deposit, non-passbook deposit) ▲payment services (passbook payment) ▲inquiry services (account balance, non-passbook transaction history, remittance fees, cashier's check issuance and accident report details, joint network processing results) ▲automated machine services (BNK Gyeongnam Bank card deposit/withdrawal, transfer, account balance inquiry).
President Ye said, “Through the joint use of counter network agreement, BNK Gyeongnam Bank customers can now conduct financial transactions at over 2,500 post offices nationwide. We expect this to greatly improve customer convenience as well as financial accessibility for the elderly and financially vulnerable groups.”
