Gumi City Selects 'Best Entrepreneur and Best Worker' Who Shined Throughout the Year
Top Executives: Hanwha Systems CEO Eoseongcheol and SEBA CEO Kim Jeongeon
Top Workers: Farm Hannong Choi Gyuhyung and Ajou Steel Team Leader Kim Sumin
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk selected the ‘2023 Gumi City Best Entrepreneur and Best Worker’ this year, targeting entrepreneurs and workers who have contributed to the local economy and engaged in various social contribution activities by producing outstanding results through excellent capabilities and innovative activities.
Now in its 18th year, the Best Entrepreneur and Best Worker Award is a corporate fostering policy aimed at enhancing pride in the region by discovering and awarding outstanding entrepreneurs and workers who have contributed to regional industry and social development. One best entrepreneur is selected each from the large and medium-sized enterprises sector and the small and medium-sized enterprises sector, and one best worker is selected each for male and female categories.
After announcing the selection plan in October, the city received applications and finalized the recipients through the Gumi City Love for Enterprises Committee’s review in November.
The best entrepreneurs were evaluated mainly on business management status, contribution to regional growth, job creation, and welfare benefits, while the best workers were assessed based on worker capabilities, corporate growth, and regional contributions. The evaluation combined the results of the first-stage document review and the second-stage judging panel assessment.
This year, the Best Entrepreneur Award in the large and medium-sized enterprises sector was awarded to CEO Eoseongcheol of Hanwha Systems, and in the small and medium-sized enterprises sector to CEO Kim Jeongeon of Seba. The Best Male Worker was Choi Kyuhyung, a manager at Farm Hannong, and the Best Female Worker was Kim Sumin, a part leader at Ajou Steel.
