Hanwha Co., Ltd. Strengthens Explosive Safety Management by Opening 'Smart Integrated Control Center'
Real-time Monitoring of Explosive Transport Vehicle Location, Delivery Status, and Cargo Volume
Immediate Response in Emergencies... Preventing Secondary Damage at the Source
Hanwha Corporation's Global Division announced on the 29th that it has established a 'Smart Integrated Control Center' in Boeun-gun, Chungbuk Province, utilizing smart safety technology to strengthen explosives safety management.
The Smart Integrated Control Center focuses on detecting and preventing hazardous situations by adopting advanced IT technology to analyze and share information in real time for the safety management of explosives transport vehicles and storage facilities. By centrally controlling the possibility of explosives leakage to third parties due to theft or loss during transportation, it aims to fundamentally block the occurrence of accidents.
The center thoroughly manages everything from verifying the identity of explosives transporters to legal compliance through an application linked with the integrated control system before transportation.
Explosives transport vehicle occupants are required to check alcohol consumption, blood pressure, and body temperature before departure, and during transportation, the smart system monitors the vehicle status in real time to enable prompt response in case of any issues.
Hanwha plans to strengthen security at explosives storage centers by utilizing CCTVs connected to the integrated control center system and to use data collected by professional explosives management security officers to establish safety measures.
Through this, Hanwha aims to enhance the safety of explosives transportation, reduce accident rates, prepare for unexpected situations such as theft and loss, and fundamentally prevent secondary damage.
Kim Jong-rak, Head of SCM at Hanwha Corporation's Global Division, stated, "The Smart Integrated Control Center is a proactive investment prioritizing safety," adding, "Hanwha provides a total solution from safe explosives production to transportation and after-sales service."
