Damyang-gun Hosts Publication Celebration for 'My Picnic Story'
On the 28th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do, held a publication celebration for the senior citizens' autobiographies titled "My Picnic Story," which captures the special life journeys of ordinary elders, at the Damyang Senior Welfare Center, the local government announced on the 29th.
The senior citizens' autobiography "My Picnic Story" was planned to meet elders aged 67 to 87, reflect on their lives, and weave precious memories into stories, aiming to make anyone who has lived an ordinary life the protagonist of their own special autobiography.
This year marked the sixth anniversary of the senior citizens' autobiography publication celebration, attended by twenty-five autobiography protagonists, the county governor, the county council chairman, council members, and about 60 others.
The event was filled with a video introducing the participating elders, sharing impressions, and a time to share life stories they have walked through.
Senior No Jong-nam said, "A person's life is a precious legacy that cannot be exchanged for anything," and added, "I hope this book, which contains the experiences and thoughts learned throughout life by myself and everyone here, will serve as a good guide for someone."
