Strengthening Business Competitiveness and Promoting Talent for New Business Development
Park Seung-yong, Vice President of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, has been promoted to President.
HD Hyundai announced on the 29th that it has carried out executive personnel changes for 2023. This is a follow-up to the presidential personnel announcement made on the 10th of this month.
Jang Gwang-pil, Executive Director of HD Hyundai Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering, and six others were appointed as Vice Presidents, while Lee Won-tae, Managing Director of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, and 25 others were promoted to Executive Directors. Additionally, 56 individuals were newly appointed as Managing Directors.
An HD Hyundai official stated, "In a situation where global business environment uncertainty is increasing, we have prioritized appointing specialized talents who can strengthen business competitiveness and discover new business opportunities," adding, "Among the newly appointed executives, about 43%, or 24 individuals, were selected from production and safety sectors, emphasizing stabilization of production sites and strengthening process management."

Meanwhile, HD Hyundai plans to hold a 2024 business plan strategy meeting in mid-next month, attended by presidents of all affiliates, to finalize business plans and prepare concrete action items to accelerate growth strategies.
