Hankyung Association: "Although We Didn't Host the Expo, It Became an Opportunity for Korea to Unite"
The Korea Economic Association stated that although it did not succeed in securing the 2030 Busan World Expo, the preparation process served as an opportunity for Korea to unite as one.
On the 29th, the Korea Economic Association expressed in a commentary following the announcement of the 2030 Expo host city, "We regret that despite national efforts and aspirations, the bid to host the 2030 Busan World Expo was unsuccessful." It added, "Although we did not succeed this time, the efforts and passion demonstrated by the government, the business community, and the public as one team during the preparation process became a catalyst for Korea to come together as one."

It also stated, "The exchanges with various countries around the world during the Expo bid process will serve as a foothold for pioneering new markets for the Korean economy in the future," adding, "The efforts and experience gained from bidding for the Expo can serve as a foundation for Korea to advance beyond being a leader in Asia to becoming a global leading nation."
