Saudi Broadcast: "Israeli Forces Fire in Gaza During Ceasefire... Violation of Agreement"
Amid an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian armed group Hamas to extend the ceasefire for two days, Saudi state media reported that Israeli forces opened fire in the Gaza Strip on the morning of the 28th (local time).
Saudi Al Arabiya broadcast reported hearing gunfire and explosions in the western part of Gaza City that morning, citing Palestinian media and others, stating that Israeli troops fired shots in the Khan Yunis area in southern Gaza. It emphasized that such actions by the Israeli military violate the ceasefire agreement.
Russia's Sputnik news agency also reported, citing an anonymous witness, that gunfire was heard in the eastern and northern parts of Gaza City that morning.

Earlier, Israel and Hamas agreed to extend the temporary ceasefire for two days on the last day of the initial ceasefire, the 27th. Accordingly, the end time of the temporary ceasefire was postponed from 7 a.m. that day to 7 a.m. on the 30th.
