Gyeonggi-do Launches Emergency System for Winter Livestock Farm Disaster Prevention... Situation Duty Team Formed
Gyeonggi Province has organized a 'Situation Duty Team' and entered emergency duty until February next year to prevent winter damage to livestock farms.
On the 23rd, Gyeonggi Province announced that it recently formed the Situation Duty Team to monitor the damage status of livestock and barns in real time and carry out emergency recovery such as urgent support for livestock disasters when heavy snow or cold wave warnings are issued through weekday or weekend emergency duty.
In addition, a system was established to immediately notify farms of weather information at the advisory level or higher using social networking services (SNS).
Earlier, in cooperation with 31 cities and counties in the province, pre-inspections were conducted on 80 vulnerable farms to winter disasters, such as old barns, including insulation and water supply facilities, snow removal equipment preparation, and electrical facilities.
In particular, guidelines for preventing electrical fires caused by operating heating facilities in winter were distributed to farms through cities and counties, and by establishing and operating a system for immediate situation reporting and emergency recovery support in case of damage, they decided to actively respond to minimize winter livestock damage.
