Jo Jung-hoon: "Lee Jun-seok only says 'Let me be the tent owner'... He should focus on his own politics"
People Power Party Rep. Jo Jeonghun KBS Radio Interview
Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok downplayed People Power Party leader Kim Ki-hyun's 'Super Big Tent' plan, saying, "He cannot even harmonize with non-mainstream figures within the party," while People Power Party lawmaker Cho Jung-hoon responded, "I hope he comes to the Super Big Tent and starts his own politics."
On the 22nd, Cho appeared on the special KBS 1 Radio program 'Today' and said, "Let me be the host of this tent. Don't just say things like that," adding, "You've been in real politics for 10 years, you're no longer young, so before it's too late, you should implement the various policies you have thought about."
Regarding the still unmaterialized Super Big Tent plan, Cho argued, "There should be a theme and a subject," and stated, "Primarily, in relation to the Democratic Party, there needs to be a theory of encircling the 586 activist faction and the pro-Myeong (pro-Lee Jae-myung) faction."
He said, "I am confident that there are still quality Democratic Party lawmakers excluding the core 586 activist faction symbolized by the pro-Myeong group," and added, "If you judge that the People Power Party's Big Tent is bigger, I think I can open the way, just as Democratic Party lawmaker Lee Sang-min is deeply contemplating now."
Regarding Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon, who is interpreted to be preparing to run in next year's general election, he said, "What Minister Han symbolizes is Anti-586," and added, "Why doesn't the minister bow to the lawmakers? Why doesn't he flinch? The 586 seniors who were once powerful were very uncomfortable."
