Golden Blue International announced on the 22nd that its authentic blended Scotch whisky ‘Old Castle’ has reached its 1st anniversary since launch.
Old Castle, which was first introduced to the domestic market last November, is an authentic blended Scotch whisky that embodies the experience and expertise of Norman Mathison, a master blender with 50 years of experience who directly blended the ‘Golden Blue’ whisky. The product name signifies that the whisky fully captures the tradition and heritage of Scotch whisky, just like a castle that holds the history of Scotland.
‘Old Castle’ is a blend of single malt whisky and single grain whisky with unique flavors, aged for at least three years in ex-bourbon (oak barrels previously used for bourbon whisky), allowing for a complex taste that combines sweetness and spiciness. The sweet vanilla, caramel, and oak aromas harmonize exquisitely, with a distinctive salty finish that sets Old Castle apart.
Golden Blue International has been selling Old Castle at GS25 convenience stores since the 1st to commemorate the 1st anniversary of its launch. Golden Blue International plans to continuously expand sales channels in the future to further strengthen consumer touchpoints. Old Castle has an alcohol content of 40% and is available in 700mL and 1L bottles. It can be found in home markets such as large supermarkets and convenience stores, as well as in entertainment markets including restaurants and pubs.
