Yangcheon-gu to Provide Up to 50 Million KRW Support for Creating Parking Lots in Apartment Idle Spaces
Recruitment from Nov 27 to Jan 9, up to 50 million KRW additional support per case for complexes converting idle spaces into parking lots
Priority support for small apartments, security and cleaning staff work environment improvement, and resident safety projects
10% increased support for private senior centers facility renovation and disabled convenience facility installation projects
Yangcheon-gu will provide additional support of up to 50 million KRW once to apartment complexes that increase the number of parking spaces by converting idle spaces such as exercise and landscaping facilities and playgrounds within the complex into parking lots.
Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gijae) announced that it will recruit target complexes for the "2024 Apartment Support Project," which provides partial funding for housing management and safety reinforcement costs, for apartment complexes with 20 or more households from November 27 to January 9 of next year.
The Apartment Support Project is a program that supports 50-80% of the maintenance costs of common facilities to create a safe and pleasant residential environment and encourage interaction among residents. This year, it supported 61 projects in 55 complexes.
In particular, this year, a new "Parking Lot Expansion Project" is being launched to solve the chronic parking problems in apartment complexes. Apartment complexes that increase the number of parking spaces by converting idle spaces such as exercise and landscaping facilities and playgrounds within the complex into parking lots will receive additional support of up to 50 million KRW once. By providing incentives that allow overlapping support for existing general support projects and parking lot construction projects, it is expected to greatly contribute to improving traffic and pedestrian environments by eradicating illegal parking on roads near the complexes.
The priority selection targets for the general support project are ▲small-scale apartments with 20 or more but fewer than 100 households ▲improvement of working conditions for security guards and cleaners ▲renovation of senior citizen centers ▲resident safety-related projects.
Additionally, the "Private Senior Citizen Center Facility Renovation Project" for healthy leisure activities of local seniors and the "Installation and Improvement of Convenience Facilities for the Disabled" project, which removes facility usage barriers for all residents including the disabled, elderly, and pregnant women, will receive a 10% increase in support funds.
The support amounts are ▲up to 50 million KRW for complexes with fewer than 2,000 households ▲up to 55 million KRW for fewer than 3,000 households ▲up to 60 million KRW for 3,000 or more households.
The application period is from November 27 to January 9 of next year. The district will conduct on-site inspections in February for the applied complexes and finalize the support targets after review by the Apartment Support Deliberation Committee.
