Fire at IFC Mall Food Court... Extinguished in 15 Minutes

At around 6:38 PM on the 13th, a fire broke out in the food court on the third basement floor of the IFC Mall in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and was extinguished within 15 minutes.
There were no casualties from the fire, but restaurant customers and staff who were having dinner evacuated.
The fire department deployed 36 pieces of equipment, including pump trucks, and 86 firefighters, and completed extinguishing the fire at around 6:53 PM, 15 minutes after the fire broke out.
An IFC Mall official stated, "It is presumed that the fire started when sparks flew during cooking in the restaurant," adding, "The sprinkler system activated immediately after the fire broke out, preventing it from spreading into a large fire."
