The novel "Snow Country" is a work by Japanese novelist Kawabata Yasunari, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1968. This literary tour will focus on Niigata Prefecture's Yuzawa, the main setting of the novel. Participants will take a train through the Shimizu Tunnel, the backdrop of the novel's famous line, "Out of the long tunnel of the border, it was a land of snow." Additionally, the tour includes visits to Suwasa Shrine, where the two main characters met, and an overnight stay at Takahan Ryokan, where the author stayed and wrote the novel.
