Osan Uncheon High School Gymnasium Expansion Project Gains Momentum
Osan-si Secures 1.7 Billion KRW in Special Education Grants from the Ministry of Education
It is expected that the expansion project of the Uncheon High School gymnasium, promoted by Osan City in Gyeonggi Province, will gain momentum.
Osan City announced on the 9th that the Uncheon High School gymnasium construction project was recently selected as a special district fund target by the Ministry of Education, securing a project budget of 1.69 billion KRW.
Uncheon High School, located in Busandong, Osan, has faced ongoing complaints due to the small size of the existing gymnasium, which requires both general students and athletic club students to use it together. In response, Mayor Lee Gwon-jae of Osan City communicated with the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education and Hwaseong Osan Office of Education to request the expansion of the gymnasium.
The city plans to continue ongoing consultations with related organizations such as the provincial education office to secure the remaining project funds, ensuring the smooth progress of the Uncheon High School gymnasium construction, which requires a total project cost of approximately 2.7 billion KRW.
