Busan Office of Education Pilots 24-Hour Care Center at Yeongdo Nori Maru
The second 24-hour care center providing seamless care services for children in urgent need of care is opening.
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 9th at 4 p.m. that it held the opening ceremony of the night emergency care center, ‘Yeongdo Care Center,’ at Yeongdo Nori Maru Book Cafe and began pilot operation. This center is the second 24-hour care center following the ‘Gupo Care Center,’ which started operation last September.
‘Yeongdo Care Center’ provides afternoon and night emergency care services from 2 p.m. to midnight for infants and elementary school students in grades 1 to 3 upon application by parents requesting urgent care. The daily capacity is about 15 children, and it operates by advance reservation.
The center is directly operated by the Elementary Education Division of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, and plans to hire two staff members, prioritizing those with childcare teacher or certified teacher qualifications.
