Korean Air Resumes Flights to Komatsu and Aomori... Japan Routes Recover to Pre-COVID-19 Levels
All 12 Flight Routes from Incheon to Japan Resume Operations
Korean Air announced on the 9th that it will resume regular flights to Komatsu and Aomori, Japan. With this resumption, Korean Air's Japan routes have recovered to pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels.
The Incheon-Komatsu route will resume operations starting from the 28th of next month. The outbound flight departs Incheon Airport at 7:35 AM and arrives at Komatsu Airport at 9:20 AM on the same day. The return flight departs locally at 11:15 AM and arrives at Incheon Airport at 1:25 PM on the same day.
The Incheon-Aomori route will resume operations from January 20th next year. The outbound flight departs Incheon Airport at 10:30 AM and arrives at Aomori Airport at 12:50 PM on the same day. The return flight departs locally at 1:55 PM and arrives at Incheon Airport at 4:55 PM on the same day. Both routes operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

With this resumption, Korean Air fully restores all 12 Japan routes (based on departures from Incheon) that were operated before the COVID-19 pandemic. These include round-trip flights to Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Osaka (Kansai), Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Niigata, Okayama, Kagoshima, Okinawa, Komatsu, and Aomori. A Korean Air official emphasized, “We will actively respond to the increasing travel demand and continue efforts to normalize passenger services.”
