GS25 "Bungeoppang Rises as Winter Snack No.1... 'Choux Cream' Flavor Released"
GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 8th that it will launch 'Freshly Made Cream-filled Bungeoppang' starting from the 9th. This expands the product lineup following the release of 'Freshly Made Bungeoppang' in September and 'Mini Bungeoppang' in October.
According to an analysis of sales data for freshly made ready-to-eat products at GS25 during October, Freshly Made Bungeoppang ranked first in sales among 83 types of ready-to-eat foods. It outsold the second-best seller, roasted sweet potatoes, by 87.1%, and the third-best seller, freshly made whale-shaped square fish cakes, by 157.8%, dominating the sales of traditional winter ready-to-eat foods.
Riding on this demand, GS25 is launching the Freshly Made Cream-filled Bungeoppang. It measures 10.5 cm in length and weighs 60 g, filled with sweet cream instead of red bean paste. The price is 900 won.
GS25 will also hold a 'GS25 Bungeoppang 3-Item Discount Event.' Throughout November, Freshly Made Bungeoppang will be discounted from 1,200 won to 1,000 won, Freshly Made Cream-filled Bungeoppang from 900 won to 800 won, and Mini Bungeoppang from 600 won to 500 won.
