LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam Announces 60 Races Over 8 Days in 4 Weeks... November Horse Racing Schedule Released
Korea Racing Authority's LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam announced the horse racing schedule for November 2023. During the 4 weeks of November, a total of 60 Busan-Gyeongnam hosted races will be held over 8 days.
Every Friday, 9 Busan-Gyeongnam races and 7 Jeju relay races will be operated. On Saturdays, 11 Seoul races and 6 Jeju races will be relayed. On Sundays, 11 Seoul relay races and 6 Busan-Gyeongnam hosted races are scheduled.
Among the 60 Busan-Gyeongnam hosted races, 43 are for domestic horses, and 15 are mixed races for domestic and foreign horses. Two major races are prepared: the Gimhae Mayor's Cup on the 5th and the International Newspaper Cup on the 12th.
The first race on Friday, the Jeju race, starts at 11:00 AM, and the first race on Saturday and Sunday, the Seoul race, starts at 10:35 AM. The last race on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all start at 6:00 PM.
The competition among the racehorses is expected to be even more intense in November.
The Gimhae Mayor's Cup (L, 1200m) held on the 5th is the second stage of the Juvenile series races, showcasing an exciting competition among young 2-year-old horses that entered the racetrack this year. The Breeders' Cup Rookie (G2, 1400m) race, which determines the best 2-year-old horse of the year, will also be held during the Gimhae Mayor's Cup.
The International Newspaper Cup (G3, 1400m), scheduled for the 12th, is the last open middle-to-short distance 1400m race of the year for horses aged 3 and older. Seoul's 'Eomamama' and Busan's 'Ssonssal', 'Kamstrong', and 'Beolma-ui Star' have already registered for the first entry.
LetsRun Park Busan-Gyeongnam operates free shuttle buses for customer convenience. In addition to the existing four routes of Gimhae-Daejeo and Hadan-Jurye, two new routes to Ulsan and Tongyeong-Geojedo are being piloted.
The two pilot routes operate once a week every Sunday. The Ulsan route departs from Ulsan Gongyeongtap Rotary at 9:00 AM, and the Tongyeong-Geojedo route departs from opposite Lotte Mart Tongyeong branch at 9:00 AM, passing Hanwha Ocean West Gate at 9:40 AM.
