Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju 'Commemorative Tree Planting' Event
On the 28th, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 29th that it held a 'Commemorative Tree Planting' event with about 150 citizens at Ssangam Neighborhood Park.
As part of the 'Carbon Neutral Gwangsan Tree Planting' initiative for coexistence with nature and responding to climate change, 50 teams consisting of families, colleagues, and friends participated.
Each team was assigned one tree, planting commemorative trees to mark meaningful events such as weddings, births, and school admissions.

A Gwangsan-gu official stated, "We will carefully nurture the 50 commemorative trees that hold precious memories and stories of citizens so that they grow healthily and form a dense forest, and we will continue to promote citizen participation tree planting events."
